Tuesday Morning

Bella and I read a children's book about Marc Chagall. It was so fun to be able to read to her about her namesake. I love that everything you read about Marc and his wife Bella, tells of their love for each other. He was crazy about her, and his paintings reflect it.

We've read a lot of books lately that mention Paris; Linnea in Monet's Garden, Eloise in Paris, The Man Who Walked Between the Towers. I also found some cookies that have an Eiffel Tower on them (close to a chocolate covered digestive biscuit YUM!!) that she now requests. I would like for Bella to know about life outside the USA and would especially like for her to have a love for Europe. Just enough of a love that she wants to travel and explore, not make any permanent moves. :) How do I achieve the balance?

What to say about William today? I took on a way more complicated dinner that I should have, and he was causing his typical trouble when left unaccounted for. Climbing on EVERYTHING! Trying to get into cleaning supplies. Throwing things at me when I don't give him my undivided attention. When he took a bite out of a magic eraser he found under the sink, I put him in his bed. At 5:30pm, and he promptly fell asleep. The story of my life.

So now there are a few minutes of peace as dinner cooks.

Sure to be followed by an evening of sheer exhaustion from his renewed energy.

I am going to choose to love every minute of it.
