Tradition... tradtion!

Today is a very special Christmas for us as it is our first Christmas in the USA and with family in four years. Of course it is especially significant with Bella here. While I wouldn't trade our past 3 Christmases, it is nice to be home joining in on a traditional Herzig family Christmas.

On Sunday we celebrated with cousins, aunts and uncles. Each year there are more little ones added to the bunch which makes it fun. We also nearly succeeded in getting everyone to participate in a game! After many years of Mafia, we tried a new one called, "Are you Snoopy?". It will be fun when the cousin's children are old enough to play along in a game.

On Christmas Eve we went to an afternoon church service. Bella and Granny stayed home as Bella slept the whole afternoon- her longest nap since we have been here. We always eat Chinese food and watch a new movie on Christmas and this year was no different.

On Christmas morning we wake up, read the Christmas story and open gifts. Of course the camera ran out of memory after Bella's first gift. Then we eat chocolate chip pancakes. Everyone has been watching new movies, napping, or playing Sam's new Wii all afternoon. We will eat dinner with my aunt's family this evening.

Here are a few highlights of the past days. I will post some separate videos. Merry Christmas!

On Sunday at the family Christmas party. We didn't take very many pictures, and Bella was not being particularly cooperative.

Opening her first present, a doll from Auntie Jo.

Yum! Chocolate chip pancakes with whip cream were a hit!

Wiped out after a full morning of Christmas fun.
