Comparing: Book and Movie

Back in the days I nannyed in Scotland, I came to love the book by the Scottish author Julia Donaldson, The Gruffalo. So of course when I had my own Scottish baby, I had to make the book a part of her library. I also gave it as gifts a lot when we first returned (and I actually forgot about it, otherwise I might still be giving it!).

Today we went as a family to see the movie in the theater (yes, we took William...interesting) along with some friends (I had given him the book when he turned 2!).

Tonight Bella and I read the book again and compared what was the same and different between the book and the movie. I gave her some prompts, but she came up with some of her own as well!




Julia Donaldson's books are fun and easy to read out loud. I highly recommend checking her out if you haven't before! Gotta support those Scottish authors!
