For example: Bella is now no longer sleeping through the night.
Sharing a room in PA created some bad habits. Now Bella decides half way through the night that she would much rather be with mom and dad. I briefly tried a technique I saw on Supernanny (standing by the crib and slowly moving away), but she was having none of that. So as of last night the plan is that Mike holds her in her room until she falls asleep. We'll see how it goes. The reward in it is that she is so desperate to have you stay with her that she acts her cutest which involves a lot of good kisses and cuddles.
Also: Bella is now feeding herself with a spoon.
I can imagine if you don't have kids, or if your kids are all grown that status doesn't seem very noteworthy. But it is kind of life changing. All of a sudden she sticks her spoon in her bowl and gets food that she can put in her mouth- and we have very little involvement. We are so proud of her.
Here is a picture of our little non- sleeper spoon feeder. Notice Mike looking rather sleep deprived. I love how Bella is smiling at him though.

"I did this to you, Daddy!"
Drop her off at our house! We'll get up with her!
Um, if you're on facebook, please add me. I'm on there daily for work. And poor hubby... Jaxson will be 7 next month and is just now learning to go to sleep without someone next to him. Slowly but surely... We catered to him mostly because he couldn't express his fears (communication issues) so now that he can talk and express himself better, we are starting to be more firm about things like this.
