Congratulations Dr. Leary

I haven't had a lot of time to blog! But it is important to mention that Mike defended for his PhD on 17 March, and passed! He does have some corrections to make, which is to be expected. At the time he hands in his corrected work though, he will be finished! We are obviously very excited, and it has been fun to be able to celebrate with the friends who we began the journey with!

We are having a wonderful time in Edinburgh, which I will write more about later.

I also turned 30 on Wednesday, which I am still trying to wrap my mind around.

Today, 20 March, also marks 5 years since our first encounter with Edinburgh. Five years ago we came over my spring break to visit the three schools in Scotland to which Mike had been accepted. Our first stop was Edinburgh, and we were as enchanted with it then as we are now. Only now there are memories creeping out behind the corners.

We are off to enjoy another sunny day in Edinburgh!
