As Bella approaches her second birthday, she's had some big girl changes.
She's has used her potty four times in the past few days, a little inconsistent due to running errands, church etc. But we are getting there! She is super proud of herself, and of course we are super proud of her.
She is now forward facing in her car seat. According to many articles I have read (with sources such as the American Academy of Pediactrics), it is best to keep a child rear facing as long as possible. I'm not even sure why I've changed it around now. I guess it just seemed time, but I am nervous!
She now goes to the 2 year old classroom at church. I was so excited about this because the 2s get to do a singing time with the 3s. I thought she was going to love singing with all the other kids. Mike and I were teaching in the 3s, so we got to see her. She was sitting in a chair just watching everyone. Eventually she wanted me to hold her. Mike took her though so I could ward off the kids who were trying to play with toys instead of sing. He said she sang a little, and when it was over she asked for more singing and dancing. Last night when I asked her about her new big girl Sunday School class she told me, "Sing 'Jesus Loves Me'. Daddy hold me." I thought that was a pretty good memory for her first day.
She all of a sudden outgrew her size 5 shoes. One day I found myself jamming her foot into her shoe! So now I am having to only put her into outfits that match pink Converse, or blue Crocs (which the other day she got called a boy in- not happy about that). We need to get some new shoes this week. She is also in almost all 18-24 month clothing now. It's always a little strange putting away clothes that don't fit.
Well, I am sure I will need a post to express the shock that two years have already gone by. But we sure do love our "little baby" who is now a big girl.
