Well, we stopped paying for the host that provided the background for my blog, so it's nothing until I can figure out how to get a different background!
Bella is participating in the summer reading program at the library (so is William!). Mike and I would like her to read some quality books because she ends up with Dora, Clifford, Berenstain Bears, Charlie and Lola and Purplicious after every visit. She also likes Arthur, but Mike kind of banned it after Bella was constantly talking about playing "Spin the Bottle" which she learned from an Arthur book.
I started requesting some books on our library queue, but I don't want to request them all at once. I thought this might be a good place to record my book hopes for her for the summer.
Also, naptime was just about a lost cause in our household when a mom friend recommended SQUIRT (super quiet un-interrupted rest/reading time). It's not that I never heard of the concept, but somehow giving it a fun name has given me back 2 out of the past 3 afternoons! So she'll need some good books to have as back-up for non rest days! Thankfully, she loves being read to and looking through books on her own.
Some books I remember from when I was young, and other's I read about on preschool recommendation sites.

I have been considering doing Five In A Row with Matthew this coming year. I agree that their list of books is a good resource. Another great source is Sonlight.com. They are big on learning through reading good literature.
I'll send you a list of some of our favorite books when I have a chance!
